Emperors Tower aboard the Death Star 2 - Roblox

This model showcases the full Emperors tower from Return of the Jedi and has been recreated in Roblox Studio. It features all four sections of the tower: throne room, boarding room, map room and meeting room with a door to Palpatine’s bedroom. All sections can be accessed via the central platform in the middle of the throne room allowing for greater accuracy. Furthermore, the top of the tower features the Sith artefact room which Palpatine had aboard the Death Star; this room can be accessed via the elevators.

- by duplicating the throne room and changing the interior, this allowed for a consistent look of the throne room, keeping its accuracy and also allowing the model to be made efficiently and quickly.
- the map room section features a holotable which projects a map of the galaxy within the larger Roblox game which the tower (and Death Star two) is apart of which adds for a nice Easter egg and detail within the game.
- the boarding room is essentially an empty room but instead of ha in the large back window it instead has a large door so that shuttles can drop Palpatine off into his tower.
- the meeting room has a door (left) to enter it which allows for the pink walls to not be seen anywhere else within the tower thus allowing the tower to look grey and dark. Within the meeting room there are 6 pink chairs and Palpatine’s throne room only with red cushioning to show that it is less royal and more “senatorial”. The room also has 4 pink tables at each corner which can hold drinks as well as artefacts.
- Palpatine’s bedroom can also be found by going through the right door. His bed is raised on a similar platform to that of his throne allowing for further consistency. The bed is to player scale allowing a player to use it. Two terminals (non interactive) also feature either side of the bed and are connected to it by ground wires.
- the artefact room is a much smaller, circular room with red walls and lighting to contribute to its Sith vibe as well as the accuracy of the room. It features several artefacts that I have chosen, such as: a Sith chalice, Sith holocron, the Sith way finder seen in Rise of Skywalker, Sith scrolls (in their capsule form), a Rakatan sculpture which is inspired by the one which held the map to Star Forge on Dantooine in Knights of the Old Republic and finally a Sith kyber Crystal within a case to protect it.

Textures used here all come from Roblox Studio to help reduce lag and thus keep players immersed within the model and not hindered by lag.
