Marvel Dex X Star Wars Dex collaboration card artwork for both Marvel and Star Wars Dex on Discord

With the announcement from the two dexes that they would do a collaboration event, I was tasked with creating a design to commemorate and thus be used in the event. Right now voting between the two dexes is taking place between whether the Spidermando or Iron Mando design will be used for the event. Both are the same design with the only difference being the marvel character involved. A brief summary of the design:
- There are 6 different coloured crystals to represent the Infinity Stones
- An X wing and TIE fighter to represent iconic Star Wars vehicles
- A small spider as a subtle nod to Spider-Man
- Tatooine in the bottom right hand corner to represent the birthplace of Anakin Skywalker and where Luke Skywalker grew up
- Glimmer and nebula brushes from Procreate used to create an interesting, mystical and space themed background to pay homage to the science fiction genre as well as movie posters.

Why Mando as the main Star Wars image?
The Mandalorian is the most popular Disney+ TV show which I believe should be celebrated. In addition, the helmet has become an iconic and well recognised Star Wars symbol and compliments nicely to Iron Man and the various superhero masks.

Why Iron Man?
As someone who hasn’t seen many Marvel films, Iron Man to me always seemed like a really cool design for a superhero and showcases how mental strength, ingenuity, creativity and brainpower can make anyone a superhero. In addition, the metallic vibe nicely compliments the Mandalorian helmet.

Why Spiderman?
Spiderman was Stan Lee’s first Marvel superhero and thus having Spiderman front and centre pays homage to his legacy.

Once the card art has been chosen for the event, I will post what it looks like as an example card like with my other card arts.
